About me

“There are so many nuances to the real estate market that can be difficult to understand.  Whether it’s the location, the condition/age of the home or even the other agents we have to work with during the transaction, having someone like me by your side to help navigate the process is paramount.”

Over the years, Andy has become an esteemed realtor, highly regarded by his clients, investors, and professionals in the field. Andy is communicative, thorough, and detail-oriented – and will be alongside you every step of the way. In Andy’s words, “I pride myself on my accessibility and response time; late-night calls and texts are welcomed and considered normal to me. Time is extremely important in most real estate transactions – don’t want to miss out on anything. I form deep bonds with my clients to create our own unstoppable team to make the best deal possible! Each client and situation is unique.”

Growing up on Southern Maryland’s Potomac River, Andy Burch has lived in Richmond, VA for the past 14 years. Andy started his journey in Richmond at the 5 Star/5 Diamond Jefferson Hotel as a strong leader executing private events and gatherings for VIP guests ranging from high profile celebrities and politicians to corporate executives. His time in hospitality provided a stepping-stone into luxury property management where he managed a team to lease high-end apartments while maintaining rapport with his existing residents. He was numerously awarded company wide for being top producer and most closed transactions.

When Andy’s taking a break, he is an adventurous traveler and enjoys destinations like the Caribbean, the Outer Banks, or a quick trip to the mountains. You might also see him out enjoying one of Richmond’s latest restaurants with friends and family. In his spare time, he likes to work on projects around his house in Richmond’s Byrd Park or relaxing with his – still rambunctious—14-year-old yellow lab (and best friend), Daphnie.

Experience
andy’s top local Restaurant and nightlife picks
….Just a few spots i go to on the regular
Breakfast

Fancy Biscuit on Cary St. – Homemade biscuits with sausage gravy + Nate’s Bagels is on the next block too!

City Diner – old school diner with quick service on Broad Street near the Science Museum

Brunch

Sidewalk Cafe in the Fan has pitchers of Mimosa’s, and the food is also delicious.

Lulu’s in the Bottom is better if you have a bigger crowd. Awesome food.

Kuba Kuba – both locations, the one in the Fan is pretty small, but there’s a larger location in the West End

Jefferson Hotel Brunch – It’s sort of a right of passage.  Great for an upscale event/occasion, but it’s a little pricey for what it is… even with the bottomless mimosa’s.

Lunch

*Christopher’s Runaway Gourmay (food cart downtown) – It may not be a restaurant, it’s chicken salad and sides are out of this world. They have a few locations downtown between 8th and 12th streets and they close for the winter. My favorite item is the Chicken Salad and Marinated Cucumbers.

Tarrant’s on Broad Street (downtown) – A lot of options to choose from. They serve the best buttered garlic rolls.

Sidewalk Cafe (The Fan) – It takes me a while to decide what I want because the menu is pretty expansive. Decent prices too.  I like the Hummus Plate for sharing with friends and the French Dip Sandwich for myself.

Perly’s (Arts District) – Jewish restaurant/deli. I feel like I am in a different city and time when I enter this place. There is nothing else like it in Richmond. Try the Matzoh Ball Soup.

Joe’s Inn (The Fan) – Huge plates of spaghetti, good sandwiches and sides and decent prices

The Hill Cafe (Churchill) – Within walking distance to Libby Hill Park, Chimborazo Park, and a couple cool coffee shops, so you can hang in the area for a few hours with plenty to do.

Bamboo Cafe (The Fan) – I could go here for dinner and sit with friends until the place closes at 2pm. The staff here makes this place special.

Late lunch/Dinner – The Hard Shell (Midlothian & Downtown). Great seafood. The last time I went, we ordered several different appetizers and an entrée everything was delicious.

If you like Vietnamese food like I do… Check out the area off West Broad and Horsepen Road. There are several to choose from.  Pho Thien Phat is my go to, but the others in the area are also good.

Dinner

Rappahannock (Art’s District) – If you like oysters, go here.

East Coast Provisions (Carytown) – Another good oyster and seafood spot and walkable to other cool shops and places to eat.

Sidewalk Cafe – more casual, but still a great spot to meet friends for dinner.

Lemaire at The Jefferson – Make a reservation, but go early and hang out in the large lounge area. I actually prefer the lounge area for dinner because it’s not as quiet as the actual dining area. Afterwards, you can walk around the common areas of the hotel and check out the grand staircase!

Tarrant’s – Also on the lunch section, but dinner here is just as good! Don’t forget the buttered garlic rolls!

Juleps (Art’s District) – Southern food, pimiento cheese, upscale. Feel like you are in the south when you eat here.

Penny Lane Pub (Art’s District) – Also good for late at night, but a tasty casual spot for dinner as well.

Little Nickel (Southside) – Tropical themed. Great atmosphere and one of the best restaurants along Forest Hill Ave.

Nightlife

The Fan:

Sticky Rice – Depending on the night, it can be jammed pack and people dancing on the booths with music videos playing on a projection screen. If you have the munchies, you can order a bucket of tater tots late into the night.

City Beach – pretty big space, and there’s pool tables and games in the back

Helen’s – it can get pretty crowded, but they have a front and side patio to hang out on as well

Bamboo – lowkey and they still serve food late

Sidewalk Cafe – similar to Bamboo, serves food later as well.

Southside:

Rock Falls Tavern – This is as local as it gets. This is not a fancy place. This is a dive bar.  This is not where you take someone on your first date.  It’s in an old shopping center and it has about 15 dart boards. There’s a digital juke box, cheap drinks and good food. Smoking is allowed inside.

O’Tooles Irish Pub: Another local spot.  Reasonable prices and you can usually always get a table for dinner too.

Riverside Tavern: Closer to O’Tooles.

Church Hill:

Patrick Henry’s Pub – on the lower level of a historic house, you will feel like you’ve been taken back in time. There’s a wig of Patrick Henry’s hanging on the wall as well. I don’t think it was actually his, but the wig has it’s own Instagram page.

Arts District:

Penny Lane Pub – English pub with televised soccer matches, great food like fish and chips and poutine (French fires with cheese curds and gravy). They have a pretty serious trivia night on Wednesday nights.
